Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in security engineering, specifically in vulnerability management — you've deployed and managed security platforms that protect critical infrastructure and understand the nuances of risk assessment and mitigation. Your hands-on experience with automation tools has allowed you to streamline security processes, making them more efficient and effective. You are enthusiastic about infrastructure-as-code practices, which you leverage to enhance security posture and operational efficiency. Your passion for security is matched by your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that security considerations are integrated into product development from the ground up.
Desirable
Experience with cloud security and familiarity with IoT environments would be a plus — you understand the unique challenges that come with securing connected devices and platforms. Certifications such as CISSP or CISM would further demonstrate your commitment to the field and enhance your qualifications.
What you'll do
In this role, you will maintain and enhance Samsara's Vulnerability Management infrastructure — you'll work closely with product managers and engineers to identify and remediate software vulnerabilities, ensuring that customer data remains secure. You will implement automation solutions that improve the efficiency of vulnerability scanning and reporting, allowing the team to respond to threats more swiftly. Your responsibilities will also include conducting regular security assessments and audits, providing insights and recommendations to improve security practices across the organization. You will play a key role in developing security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Collaboration is essential, as you will partner with various teams to integrate security into the software development lifecycle, fostering a culture of security awareness throughout the company.
