Samsara is hiring a Senior Compliance Engineer to oversee product certification processes for hardware products. You'll be responsible for ensuring compliance across multiple product lines globally. This role requires expertise in hardware compliance and certification processes.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in compliance engineering, particularly with hardware products, and are familiar with certification processes in regions such as Mexico and the EU. Your experience includes overseeing compliance activities for electrical and electronic equipment, ensuring that products meet regulatory standards before launch. You are detail-oriented and have a solid understanding of the compliance landscape in various markets, which allows you to navigate complex certification requirements effectively.

You thrive in a collaborative environment and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to ensure that compliance is integrated into the product development lifecycle. Your communication skills enable you to articulate compliance requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You are proactive in identifying potential compliance issues and are skilled at developing strategies to mitigate risks.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the compliance certification processes for Samsara's hardware products. This includes coordinating with engineering teams to ensure that all products meet necessary compliance standards before they are launched in various markets. You will oversee the preparation of documentation required for certification and work closely with external certification bodies to facilitate the approval process.

You will also conduct regular audits of product compliance to ensure ongoing adherence to regulatory requirements. Your role will involve staying up-to-date with changes in compliance regulations and standards, and you will be expected to provide guidance to product teams on best practices for compliance. Additionally, you will play a key role in training team members on compliance-related topics, fostering a culture of compliance within the organization.
