Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a strong background in building scalable applications and systems. Your expertise in Java and Python allows you to develop robust solutions that meet user needs effectively. You are familiar with cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and have experience deploying applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
You possess a solid understanding of REST APIs and have worked with SQL databases, enabling you to design efficient data storage solutions. Your problem-solving skills are complemented by your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards. You are passionate about leveraging IoT data to drive insights and improve operational efficiency.
What you'll do
As a Staff Software Engineer at Samsara, you will serve as a technical anchor for the Connected Asset Maintenance (CAM) team, leading the development of innovative software solutions that transform traditional maintenance workflows into predictive, AI-driven processes. You will design and implement scalable backend services that utilize IoT and telematics data to enhance asset management and reduce downtime for customers.
