Who you are

You have a strong background in product design, particularly in UI/UX, with a focus on creating user-centered solutions. Your experience includes collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to develop intuitive and functional designs. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about working on impactful projects that enhance user experiences. You possess a keen eye for aesthetics and functionality, ensuring that your designs are not only visually appealing but also practical and user-friendly.

You are proficient in design tools such as Figma, which you use to create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs. Your ability to iterate on designs based on user feedback and technical constraints is a key strength. You understand the importance of aligning design vision with both user needs and technical requirements, and you are adept at communicating your ideas effectively to stakeholders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing user-centered solutions for Saronic's autonomous surface vessels and related systems. You will work closely with engineering, operations, and DoD stakeholders to create designs that enhance maritime operations. Your responsibilities will include developing early-stage concepts and refining them through to final product iterations, ensuring that the design vision is consistently met throughout the development process.

You will conduct user research to gather insights that inform your design decisions, and you will collaborate with team members to brainstorm and iterate on design ideas. Your role will also involve presenting your designs to stakeholders and incorporating their feedback into your work. You will be expected to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design, applying this knowledge to improve the user experience of Saronic's products.
