Saronic is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead major autonomous shipbuilding programs. You'll oversee cost, schedule, and performance across all phases of the program, ensuring successful integration of advanced naval platforms. This role requires extensive experience in managing complex defense acquisition programs.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a proven track record as a Program Manager, particularly in managing large-scale defense acquisition programs. Your experience includes overseeing complex projects from inception through to delivery, ensuring that all aspects of cost, schedule, and performance are meticulously managed. You are adept at interfacing with various stakeholders, including Navy representatives and prime contractors, to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes.
Your background includes a strong understanding of naval platforms and combat systems, with a focus on integrating advanced technologies into shipbuilding processes. You possess excellent leadership skills, enabling you to guide cross-functional teams effectively while fostering a collaborative environment.
You are detail-oriented and possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to assess project risks and implement mitigation strategies proactively. Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences.
Desirable
Experience with C5ISR systems and propulsion technologies would be advantageous. Familiarity with maritime operations and autonomous systems will set you apart as a candidate. A background in defense contracting or government procurement processes is also a plus.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead a major shipbuilding program, overseeing all phases from acquisition to sustainment. You will be responsible for developing and managing project plans, ensuring that all milestones are met on time and within budget. Your role will involve coordinating with engineering teams to integrate advanced naval platforms and combat systems into ship designs.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for Navy stakeholders, ensuring that their requirements are met and that they are kept informed of project progress. You will also work closely with prime contractors to ensure that all deliverables meet the required specifications and quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include conducting regular project reviews, analyzing performance data, and implementing corrective actions as necessary. You will be expected to prepare and present project updates to senior leadership, highlighting key achievements and addressing any challenges encountered.
