You are a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with a strong background in computer vision and deep learning. With at least 5 years of experience in machine learning, you have a proven track record of developing and optimizing algorithms for information extraction from complex documents. You are passionate about pushing the boundaries of recognition technology and mentoring team members on best practices in code quality and engineering.

You have hands-on experience with semantic document parsing and are familiar with the latest research in document classification and text recognition. Your analytical mindset allows you to define and track metrics effectively, ensuring continuous quality improvements in your projects. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for evolving Scandit's product by adding new features and optimizing existing offerings. You will drive the development of semantic document parsing solutions tailored to customer use cases, ensuring high-quality outputs through rigorous testing and integration of existing models. Your role will involve hands-on work in all phases of the development process, from prototyping to debugging and data analysis.

You will stay up to date with the latest advancements in machine learning and computer vision, applying this knowledge to enhance the capabilities of the Label Capture team. Mentoring junior engineers will be a key part of your responsibilities, as you guide them in implementing best practices and improving their technical skills. You will also identify opportunities for innovation, setting the direction for future developments in recognition technology.
