You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building scalable systems that meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. Your expertise in Java is complemented by a strong understanding of cloud services like AWS and Azure, allowing you to design and implement robust solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing tech stacks.

You thrive in a fully remote environment, demonstrating independence and ambition in your work. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including CTOs and COOs, to deliver high-quality products that meet compliance standards. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle complex challenges, ensuring that the solutions you build are both effective and efficient.

Desirable

Experience with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, GDPR, TISAX, and SOC 2 is a plus, as is familiarity with project management tools like Jira. You are also open to learning new technologies and methodologies that can enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Secfix, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our compliance automation platform. You will design and implement backend services that automate the extraction of data necessary for compliance, ensuring that our clients can meet their regulatory obligations quickly and efficiently. Your work will directly impact the success of over 1.78 million SMBs in Europe, helping them to streamline their compliance processes.

You will collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to define the technical roadmap and prioritize features that enhance user experience. Your responsibilities will include writing clean, maintainable code, conducting code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers to foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

You will also engage in technical discussions with stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable tasks. By leveraging your expertise in Java and cloud technologies, you will help us scale our platform to meet growing demand while maintaining high standards of security and performance.
