Who you are

You are an aspiring designer with a strong foundation in graphic design principles and a keen eye for detail. You have experience with design software such as Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and you are familiar with creating designs for various formats including social media, web, and print. You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to learn from senior designers and art directors. Your organizational skills enable you to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting. You are passionate about art and design, and you understand the importance of visual communication in enhancing the museum experience.

What you'll do

As a Design Studio Intern at SFMOMA, you will assist the Graphic Design team in translating the museum's vision into engaging visual content. You will work on a variety of projects, including branding, exhibition graphics, and digital communications. Your role will involve collaborating with team members to brainstorm and develop creative concepts that resonate with diverse audiences. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the design of publications and digital screens, ensuring that all visual elements align with the museum's brand identity. Throughout your internship, you will gain hands-on experience in the design process, from initial sketches to final production, while receiving guidance from experienced professionals in the field.
