Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience supporting critical infrastructure in a highly available 24x7 environment — you understand the importance of reliability and have a proven track record in network engineering. Your strong network engineering experience is complemented by hands-on expertise with datacenter networking environments, routers, and switches via command line. You are well-versed in public and private peering, particularly with the BGP protocol, and have a solid understanding of network operation cycles.

Your hands-on experience with Cisco NXOS/IOS, FortiGate, and F5 LB network solutions demonstrates your ability to implement best practices in installation, configuration, and maintenance. You are familiar with PCI regulation compliance and have experience implementing security policies as instructed by security departments. Additionally, your understanding of Linux systems is an advantage, allowing you to navigate various environments effectively.

Desirable

Certifications in networking are a big advantage, showcasing your commitment to professional development and expertise in the field. What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the datacenter network operation cycle, which includes architecture, operation, troubleshooting, and monitoring. You will manage network WAN connectivity, working closely with ISP providers, and handling BGP peering and private connections. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve planning and implementing changes to the production network, including hardware and software upgrades, as well as network monitoring solutions.

You will support PCI regulation compliance and implement security policies as directed by the security department. Additionally, you will oversee the branch office network operations, which encompass LAN, wireless, IP telephony, and remote access operations. Your ability to troubleshoot and resolve network issues will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and performance of the network.
