You excel at building relationships with suppliers and have a keen understanding of market trends and competitor activities that inform your sourcing decisions. You are detail-oriented and possess strong negotiation skills, ensuring that all commercial terms are agreed upon and documented effectively.

You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly between supply chain and engineering, to facilitate supplier and component selection during new product introductions and sustaining projects. Your ability to identify high-potential suppliers on a global scale is complemented by your analytical skills, allowing you to assess market trends and industry developments critically. You are committed to operational excellence and customer satisfaction, ensuring that sourcing strategies align with the company's goals.

What you'll do

In this role, you will develop clear technology and commodity roadmaps for current and future programs, ensuring that Skydio remains at the forefront of the drone industry. You will be responsible for driving the price negotiation processes to secure the best commodity pricing for the company. Your role will involve ownership of various sourcing documents, including MDSAs, SOWs, RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs, ensuring that all commercial terms are meticulously documented. You will analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform your sourcing decisions, cultivating productive relationships with supply chain partners.

You will also lead the strategic sourcing plans for silicon components, conducting thorough market research and supplier evaluations. Your insights will be crucial in guiding the company's procurement strategies and ensuring that Skydio's manufacturing processes are supported by high-quality components. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure that supplier selections align with technical requirements and project timelines, contributing to the overall success of Skydio's innovative drone solutions.
