Skydio is hiring a Staff Global Supply Manager to develop and implement sourcing strategies for drone components. You'll focus on sourcing innovative sensing modules and improving supply chain processes. This role requires strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in global supply chain management, particularly in sourcing and procurement processes. Your background includes developing and implementing commodity sourcing strategies that align with business needs and market conditions. You possess strong negotiation skills and are adept at managing supplier relationships to ensure high-quality components.
You understand the complexities of sourcing innovative sensing modules, including thermal and imaging cameras. Your ability to analyze economic and currency trends allows you to make informed decisions that impact production and supply chain efficiency. You are a strategic thinker who can connect sourcing strategies with broader business objectives.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead the end-to-end sourcing and procurement processes for camera components and modules. This includes managing NDAs, RFIs/RFQs, and negotiating Master Supplier Agreements to ensure efficient business transactions. You will develop global strategic sourcing strategies based on forecasts of future demand and market supply conditions.
You will also be responsible for establishing connections between the Global Supply Manager strategy and Skydio's overall business and production strategies. Your leadership will be crucial in improving existing supplier relationships and developing new suppliers to access cutting-edge technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that sourcing strategies align with production goals and customer needs.
