Skydio is hiring a Senior Staff Product Manager for Drone Hardware Platforms & Sensors to shape the future of drone technology. You'll work closely with customers and engineering teams to develop innovative hardware solutions. This role requires significant experience in product management.

Who you are
You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in hardware or embedded systems. Your ability to engage with customers and understand their needs is crucial, as you will be responsible for defining product strategies that address core business problems. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering teams to bring innovative products to market. Your experience includes leading cross-functional teams and managing complex projects from conception to launch.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to articulate product visions and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your analytical mindset helps you make data-driven decisions, ensuring that the products developed meet the highest standards of quality and performance. You are passionate about technology and have a keen interest in the drone industry, understanding the unique challenges and opportunities it presents.
What you'll do
In this role, you will help shape Skydio's overall vehicle and hardware strategy in collaboration with the CEO and engineering executives. You will engage with customers, prospects, and internal stakeholders to understand their core business problems and develop visions and strategies to solve them. Your responsibilities will include defining product requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring that the development teams are aligned with the product roadmap. You will also be involved in the development of new hardware products, including new vehicle form factors, and will work closely with engineering teams to ensure successful execution.
You will conduct user research and gather feedback to refine product offerings, ensuring that they meet the needs of various customer segments, including enterprise, government, and public safety. Your role will require you to stay updated on industry trends and competitor offerings, allowing you to make informed decisions about product direction. You will also be responsible for presenting product updates and strategies to senior leadership and other stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across the organization.
