Job Description

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in product management, ideally within hardware or technology sectors — you've successfully led product development from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends. Your strong communication skills enable you to engage effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and innovation.

You possess a deep understanding of hardware product development processes and have experience working closely with engineering teams — your technical background allows you to bridge the gap between customer requirements and engineering capabilities, ensuring that products meet high standards of quality and performance.

You are customer-focused and have a proven track record of gathering insights from users to inform product strategy — you thrive on understanding user pain points and translating them into actionable product features that drive satisfaction and engagement.

Your strategic mindset allows you to contribute to the overall vision and direction of the product line — you are comfortable making data-driven decisions and using metrics to evaluate product success and iterate on features.

Your responsibilities will include engaging with customers to understand their needs and challenges, ensuring that the products developed effectively address these issues.

You will lead the development of new hardware products, including vehicle form factors and accessories, working alongside embedded software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality. Your role will involve conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the drone market.

You will facilitate cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned on product goals and timelines — your ability to communicate effectively will be key in managing expectations and driving projects forward.

You will also be responsible for defining success metrics for product launches and monitoring performance post-launch to inform future iterations and enhancements. Your insights will help shape the product lifecycle and contribute to the overall success of Skydio's offerings.

You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and engage with a diverse range of customers, from utility inspectors to first responders — your work will directly influence the future of aerial mobility and autonomous flight. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
