Skyways is hiring a Technician to ensure customer aircraft operate safely and reliably. You'll perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs while working closely with operators. This role is based in Austin, TX.

You are a hands-on expert with a passion for aviation and technology — your experience in maintenance and troubleshooting makes you the go-to person for keeping aircraft operational. You thrive in customer-facing roles, ensuring that clients receive the best service possible while maintaining a strong focus on safety and reliability. You understand the importance of communication and collaboration, as you will be the first point of contact for customers when issues arise. Your ability to diagnose problems quickly and provide effective solutions is key to your success in this role.
You are comfortable with travel, as you will spend time in the field at customer sites, working directly with operators to ensure their aircraft are functioning optimally. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and process building will help you contribute to the overall success of the Customer Success team at Skyways. You are eager to learn and adapt, bringing valuable insights from the field back to the engineering and product teams.
What you'll do
As a Technician at Skyways, you will play a crucial role in the Customer Success team, ensuring that customer aircraft are maintained to the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance, executing firmware and software updates, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will be responsible for urgent repairs, ensuring that aircraft are back in operation as quickly as possible. Your hands-on expertise will be invaluable in diagnosing problems and providing solutions, allowing customers to maximize the value they receive from their Skyways aircraft.
You will work closely with operators, sharing best practices and ensuring that every deployment runs smoothly. Your role will require you to balance time spent in the field with problem-solving and process building back at headquarters. You will be instrumental in helping Skyways scale toward production, contributing to the future of air transportation with fully autonomous unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall success of the company.
