Smarkets is hiring a Compliance Operations Analyst to manage customer risks and ensure compliance with affordability policies. You'll work in London and contribute to the compliance team with your analytical skills. This role requires prior experience in customer reviews and knowledge of regulatory frameworks.
Job Description
Who you are
You have prior experience conducting customer reviews and analysis within a complex investigations or crime environment, ideally in the financial services or gambling sector. Your strong understanding of how to identify and verify a customerβs Source of Wealth and Source of Funds sets you apart. You possess a good working knowledge of the regulatory frameworks applicable to an online gambling company, including money laundering and terrorist financing typologies. Being open-minded and gregarious, you have an eye for detail and the ability to articulate your opinions in data, which will allow you to excel at Smarkets.
What you'll do
As a Compliance Operations Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing risks around our customers. This includes carrying out checks on customer accounts in line with our Source of Funds and Source of Wealth policies. You will take the lead on ensuring customer spend is affordable and act as a subject matter expert on the analysis of customer documentation. Your keen understanding of our policies on affordability will guide you in escalating customers to the AML team when necessary. You will collaborate closely with other team members to ensure that Smarkets customers are crime-free and gambling affordably.
