What you'll do

As the Engineering Manager for the Query Language team, you will lead a talented group of engineers in the design, development, and support of a highly-parallel and fault-tolerant SQL database system. You will be responsible for hiring and building an outstanding team, ensuring that each engineer has the resources and support they need to excel.

You will collaborate with product managers and other engineering teams to translate product requirements into engineering work — your ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines will be crucial in delivering high-quality features. You will also play a key role in defining the technical direction of the team, making architectural decisions that impact the performance and scalability of the database.

In addition to technical leadership, you will conduct regular one-on-one meetings with team members to provide feedback and support their professional growth — fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning will be a priority for you.
