Overview
SoFi is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to implement functionality and architect systems in the Money division. You'll work with Java and Spring to deliver resilient and scalable code. This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of experience.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a Bachelor's degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, and at least 2 years of experience in software engineering. You are skilled in Java and Spring, and you have a strong understanding of REST API design principles. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to communicate engineering concepts with stakeholders across various departments.
You are passionate about writing clean, maintainable code and have experience in delivering scalable solutions. You enjoy participating in code and design reviews, and you are always looking for ways to improve the health of your codebase. You are proactive in generating ideas for new initiatives and technologies that can enhance the product.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer in the Money division at SoFi, you will be responsible for implementing functionality and architecting our systems. You will squash bugs and maintain the health of our code while continually growing as an engineer. You will own and ideate on technical solutions for product requirements and user stories with minimal supervision. Your role will involve participating in code and design reviews, ensuring that the code meets the highest standards of quality and performance.
You will work in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment across multiple offices, and telecommuting is an option. Some travel to SoFi offices may be required. You will communicate engineering concepts and efforts with outside stakeholders in product marketing, operations, business, legal, and compliance, ensuring that everyone is aligned on the technical direction of the projects.
