What you'll do

As a Senior Application Software Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining mission-critical applications that support the production of launch vehicles and the operation of the Starlink satellite network. You will design systems that can ingest and store concurrent streams of data from various sources, ensuring that the applications are reliable and scalable. Your role will involve collaborating with engineers from different disciplines to integrate new features and updates into existing systems, particularly in relation to crewed launches and satellite operations.

You will also be tasked with optimizing application performance and ensuring that the software meets the high standards required for aerospace applications. This includes conducting code reviews, implementing best practices in software development, and participating in troubleshooting and debugging efforts when issues arise.
