You are an engineer with a strong background in software development, particularly in data applications. You have experience with programming languages such as Python and Java, and you are comfortable working with SQL databases. What you'll do
As an Application Software Engineer, Data at SpaceX, you will be part of a team that develops and maintains critical applications used throughout the organization. Your primary responsibilities will include designing systems that manage data from the world's largest satellite constellation and reusable rockets. You will collaborate with engineers across the company to ensure that applications are updated in line with the latest developments in crewed launches and Starlink network changes.
You will also be involved in creating platforms that enable rapid build and reuse of the Starship, as well as developing manufacturing software for high-throughput factories. Your role will require you to engage with various stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. You will be expected to contribute to the overall architecture of the applications and ensure they are scalable and efficient.
