SpaceX is hiring an Automation & Controls Specialist to support the development of the Starship launch and test infrastructure. Who you are

You have a strong background in automation and controls, with experience in the installation and commissioning of automation assets. Your expertise includes working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), data acquisition systems, and control systems. You understand the importance of building reliable electrical systems that support complex operations. You are detail-oriented and capable of updating technical drawings and documentation as needed. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to groundbreaking projects that push the boundaries of space exploration.

Desirable

Experience with building and commissioning hardware such as wire harnesses, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and motor drive controls is a plus. Familiarity with the aerospace industry or similar high-stakes environments will help you excel in this role.

What you'll do

As an Automation & Controls Specialist at SpaceX, you will be responsible for developing and upgrading electrical systems that support the Starship launch and test infrastructure. You will work closely with engineers to design and implement automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency and safety. Your role will involve the installation and commissioning of new automation assets, ensuring that all systems are fully operational and meet the required specifications. You will also be tasked with building and integrating physical hardware, including PLCs and sensors, to create a robust control system for Starship launches and testing.
