Who you are

You have a strong background in automation and controls engineering, with experience in designing and deploying complex systems. Your expertise includes working with PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications in high-reliability environments, ensuring that systems operate efficiently and effectively. You are detail-oriented and have a knack for problem-solving, allowing you to tackle challenges head-on and develop innovative solutions. You thrive in collaborative settings, working closely with design engineers and other stakeholders to ensure project specifications are met.

You possess a deep understanding of industrial fluid systems and their applications in aerospace manufacturing. Your experience includes managing projects from conception through commissioning, ensuring that all aspects of the automation process are executed flawlessly. You are passionate about the aerospace industry and are excited about the opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects that will enable human life on Mars.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing automation and controls projects for the Starship program. You will collaborate with internal and external design engineers to define project specifications and ensure that deliverables meet the required criteria. Your work will involve commissioning PLC, HMI, and SCADA applications, ensuring that they function reliably in a production environment.

You will also be tasked with developing foundational processes that support the production fluids team, enabling high-rate manufacturing of vehicle systems. Your role will require you to conduct initial trades and provide training to team members on the systems you develop. You will play a crucial role in the success of the Starship program, contributing to the design and deployment of critical manufacturing and test infrastructure.
