You are eager to learn and grow in the field of employee benefits, demonstrating a strong ability to assist and counsel employees on their benefit-related questions. Your effective verbal and written communication skills allow you to engage with employees in various settings, whether through email, phone, or in-person interactions. You are detail-oriented and capable of maintaining the integrity of eligibility enrollments within HR systems like Workday.

You have a proactive approach to problem-solving and can prioritize tasks effectively. Your ability to work independently while also being a team player makes you a valuable asset in a collaborative environment. You are familiar with employee benefits, leave of absence, and workers' compensation, which will help you navigate the complexities of this role. You are committed to providing excellent service to employees, ensuring they have the support they need regarding their benefits.

What you'll do

As a Benefits Coordinator at SpaceX, you will provide essential support in the administration of various employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plans. You will assist with new hire orientation and the annual benefits open enrollment process, ensuring that employees are well-informed about their options. Your role will involve advising and counseling employees on day-to-day benefit-related questions, which may come through various channels such as email, phone, or walk-up sessions.

You will maintain the integrity of eligibility enrollments within Workday, partnering closely with the payroll department to ensure the accuracy of benefit deductions. Additionally, you will handle other responsibilities such as employee perks administration, wellness initiatives, and relocation administration. Your attention to detail will be crucial in managing leaves of absence and workers' compensation administration, as well as overseeing onsite medical and dental clinics and employee services. You will also play a role in promoting company wellness initiatives and commuter benefits, contributing to a positive work environment for all employees.
