Job Description
Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, focusing on data analysis and reliability in hardware systems. Your expertise in Python and SQL allows you to build robust data pipelines and perform complex data analysis. You understand the importance of data modeling and have experience with ETL processes, ensuring data is clean and accessible for analysis. Your familiarity with AWS services enables you to leverage cloud technologies for data storage and processing. You are detail-oriented and have a strong analytical mindset, capable of identifying trends and issues in hardware performance data.
Desirable
Experience with data warehousing solutions is a plus, as it allows you to design and implement efficient data storage strategies. Familiarity with hardware systems, particularly in telecommunications or satellite technology, will help you understand the context of your work better. You are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to drive improvements in hardware reliability.
What you'll do
As a Senior Data Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for analyzing the performance and reliability of customer hardware, including dishes, routers, power supplies, and cables. You will develop key metrics and tools to monitor hardware performance post-manufacturing.
