Job Description

Who you are

5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong background in building data pipelines and working with large datasets — you've developed strategies that drive business growth and efficiency across multiple teams. You possess deep expertise in SQL and Python, enabling you to extract and analyze data effectively to inform decision-making processes. Your experience with machine learning and statistical technologies allows you to turn data insights into actionable applications, enhancing customer acquisition strategies.

You are a collaborative team player who enjoys working closely with both technical and business teams — your ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear and actionable manner is one of your key strengths. You thrive in environments where you can leverage data to solve real-world problems, and you are passionate about using your skills to contribute to innovative projects like Starlink.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP is a plus, as is familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Looker. A background in telecommunications or broadband services would be beneficial, given the nature of the Starlink project.

What you'll do

As a Senior Data Engineer on the Starlink Growth Analytics & Automation Team, you will be responsible for developing key metrics and tools that assess the health of the Starlink business. You will extract valuable insights from data across all business units and the Starlink network itself, working closely with technical and business teams to optimize customer acquisition processes. Your role will involve building high-visibility dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders.

You will also be tasked with implementing machine learning models that enhance data-driven decision-making and automate processes where possible. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure that data strategies align with business objectives and contribute to the overall growth of Starlink. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of customer acquisition efforts and the scalability of the Starlink service.
