You have 5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in designing and implementing electrical systems for large-scale facilities. Your background includes working with high power electrical systems, and you excel at managing multiple projects simultaneously. You have a collaborative spirit and enjoy working with construction engineers, architects, and trade partners to achieve project goals.

You possess a strong understanding of electrical power distribution systems, switch-gear, motor control centers, and emergency power systems. Your experience includes specifying and designing systems such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), standby generators, and automatic transfer switches. You are familiar with power monitoring hardware and software, and you have a keen eye for detail in your designs.

What you'll do

As a Senior Electrical Engineer (Facilities) at SpaceX, you will be responsible for the detailed electrical design and specification for the installation of various systems within new construction projects. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure that all electrical systems are integrated seamlessly into the overall facility design. Your role will involve creating detailed drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and other design tools.

You will oversee the installation of electrical power distribution systems, ensuring that they meet all safety and performance standards. You will work closely with construction teams to provide guidance and support during the installation process, addressing any issues that arise and ensuring that projects stay on schedule.

In addition to your design responsibilities, you will also be involved in project management tasks, including coordinating with trade partners and internal customers to align project goals.
