Job Description
Who you are
You have a degree in Electrical Engineering and experience in designing electrical systems for large-scale construction projects β you've successfully managed multiple projects simultaneously and excel in a collaborative environment. Your expertise includes high power electrical systems, power distribution, and controls, allowing you to tackle complex engineering challenges effectively.
You are proficient in using AutoCAD for electrical design and have a strong understanding of power monitoring hardware and software β your technical skills enable you to create detailed specifications for various electrical installations. You thrive in a team setting, working closely with construction engineers, architects, and trade partners to achieve project goals.
Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you can operate autonomously to find innovative solutions to diverse challenges β you understand the importance of safety and compliance in critical infrastructure projects. You are committed to making a real global impact through your work, contributing to SpaceX's mission of enabling human life on Mars.
Desirable
Experience with uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and standby generators is a plus β familiarity with automatic transfer switches and motor control centers will enhance your ability to contribute to the team. You are also knowledgeable about ground support system controls and ladder logic, which will be beneficial in your role.
What you'll do
As an Electrical Engineer on the MEP team, you will design and build high power electrical systems that support new construction projects at SpaceX β your work will directly contribute to the development of some of the worldβs most advanced manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate with other engineering disciplines to provide detailed electrical design and specifications for the installation of electrical power distribution systems, switch-gear, and motor control centers.
You will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical systems are designed to meet the highest standards of safety and efficiency β this includes overseeing the installation of exterior and interior lighting, ground support system controls, and power monitoring systems. Your role will require you to manage multiple projects, ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to while maintaining quality and compliance.
