SpaceX is hiring a Lead Electrician for their 2nd shift to design, build, and maintain advanced manufacturing facilities. This role requires expertise in electrical systems and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience as an electrician, particularly in industrial or manufacturing settings, and possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure. You excel at problem-solving and can operate autonomously to tackle complex challenges. Your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is complemented by your strong communication skills, allowing you to collaborate effectively with engineers, managers, and internal customers. You are committed to maintaining systems in peak operating condition and have a proactive approach to preventative maintenance. You understand the importance of ensuring zero unplanned interruptions in services and are dedicated to achieving this goal.
What you'll do
As a Lead Electrician at SpaceX, you will play a crucial role in the critical infrastructure team, contributing to the design, build, activation, and maintenance of some of the world's most advanced manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to develop and update detailed work instructions for equipment maintenance. Your responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical support equipment on facility systems, which encompasses medium to low voltage transformers, panels, substations, switch gear, and Uninterrupted Power Supplies. You will also be tasked with troubleshooting electrical issues and implementing solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Your work will directly support SpaceX's mission to enable human life on Mars, and you will have the opportunity to drive real global impact through your contributions.
