SpaceX is hiring a Production Coordinator for their Avionics team on the 2nd shift. You'll be responsible for monitoring and coordinating the movement of parts through the production flow. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
Job Description
Who you are
You have experience in production coordination, ideally within a manufacturing or aerospace environment. You understand the importance of timely delivery and have a keen eye for detail, ensuring that parts are handled according to specifications. Your ability to communicate effectively with various teams is crucial, as you will be working closely with planning, procurement, engineering, and production teams to maintain accurate data and schedules.
You are analytical and can develop metrics to drive optimal results. Your problem-solving skills allow you to assist in resolving issues related to incorrect system data, which can impact production schedules. You are proactive in updating management systems and developing reports that highlight needs and constraints, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed.
What you'll do
As a Production Coordinator, you will monitor, track, and move parts through the production flow to ensure timely delivery to the next production location. You will coordinate the physical movement of parts through various work centers within SpaceX, ensuring they are handled and protected according to specifications. Your role will involve working with production personnel to ensure that metric goals are understood and met.
You will also assist with the resolution of incorrect system data that could lead to inappropriate demand or scheduling issues. By analyzing available data, you will develop metrics that drive optimal results and support logistics processes through innovative staging of workflow. Your communication skills will be essential as you provide updates on part status and estimated completion dates to leadership weekly.
