Who you are

You have a high school diploma or equivalency certificate and at least 3 years of experience working as a licensed electrician. You possess a strong understanding of electrical systems and are familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Your experience includes installing and maintaining motor control centers, generators, and various electrical components. You are detail-oriented and can work from blueprints and schematics to ensure compliance with safety standards.

You have a solid grasp of electrical codes, rules, and regulations, and you understand the design concepts of critical power and safety systems. Your ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems is complemented by your knowledge of low and medium-voltage power distribution systems. You are committed to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What you'll do

As an Electrician at SpaceX, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical systems and devices. You will work on motor control centers, motor circuits, and overloads, ensuring that all installations comply with the current NEC code. Your role will also involve installing and maintaining generators and automatic transfer switches, as well as performing repairs on electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.

You will be expected to perform work from instructions using blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics. Additionally, you will install grounding and lightning protection systems and troubleshoot commercial lighting, receptacles, panels, circuits, and controls. Your contributions will help ensure that SpaceX's facilities operate efficiently and safely.
