Who you are
You have a strong background in engineering with a focus on fluid systems, particularly in compressible, incompressible, and cryogenic applications. Your knowledge of heat transfer, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics allows you to troubleshoot complex issues effectively. You have experience working with ground support equipment and understand the importance of safety and reliability in launch operations. You are comfortable leading a team of technicians and guiding them through operational procedures to ensure successful launches. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to innovative solutions in aerospace engineering.
Desirable
Experience with launch pad operations or aerospace engineering is a plus. Familiarity with controls and instrumentation related to fluid systems will enhance your ability to succeed in this role.
What you'll do
As a Launch Pad Engineer, you will serve as the responsible engineer for one or multiple launch pad fluid systems. You will utilize your expertise to inspect, configure, and test ground support equipment to meet Falcon 9 and Falcon Heavy interface requirements. During integrated launch operations, you will lead a team of technicians, ensuring that all operational procedures are followed meticulously. You will troubleshoot issues that arise in various launch pad systems, applying your knowledge of heat transfer and fluid dynamics to develop effective solutions. Your role will involve collaborating with other engineering teams to maximize efficiency while maintaining safety standards. You will also participate in maintenance activities and upgrades to enhance the performance of launch pad systems.
