You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in launch pad operations and ground support equipment. Your multi-disciplinary knowledge allows you to develop innovative solutions while ensuring safety and reliability. You are skilled in using FEM software such as ANSYS and FEMAP, and you are comfortable performing rigorous hand calculations to support your designs. You have a proven track record of addressing complex structural and mechanical issues, utilizing your engineering intuition to provide effective solutions. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with technicians to troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems. You are detail-oriented and committed to maximizing efficiency in all aspects of your work.

What you'll do

As a Launch Pad Engineer at SpaceX, you will serve as the responsible engineer for multiple mechanical systems and structures on the launch pad. You will utilize FEM software to facilitate design and issue disposition, ensuring that all ground support equipment is properly inspected, configured, and tested. You will work with a skilled technician workforce to carry out troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and upgrades, contributing to the overall improvement of launch pad operations. Your role will involve addressing complex mechanical challenges and providing engineering disposition for a path forward.
