You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems. Your experience includes leading construction projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex infrastructure solutions. You possess strong problem-solving skills and can resolve design conflicts in real-time, ensuring projects stay on track and meet specifications.

You are proficient in AutoCAD and have a solid understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes. Your ability to communicate effectively with engineers, contractors, and stakeholders allows you to navigate challenges and drive projects to successful completion. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high standards of quality and safety throughout the construction process.

What you'll do

As a MEP/Construction Engineer at SpaceX, you will lead the project team through the entire mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP) engineering process, from design to commissioning. You will develop and issue drawings and design documentation for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects, ensuring that all specifications are met. Your role will involve writing, negotiating, and managing construction contracts with subcontractors, overseeing their work to ensure compliance with project requirements.

You will coordinate with electrical utility providers to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure, and you will interact with various project stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication and collaboration. Your expertise will be crucial in resolving design and construction conflicts in the field, allowing for real-time adjustments and solutions. You will also have opportunities to travel to other SpaceX facilities as needed, contributing to the company's mission of enabling human life on Mars.
