Who you are

You hold a Bachelor's degree in engineering and have experience in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) design. You are skilled in developing and issuing drawings and design documentation for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects. Your ability to resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time is a key strength, and you have a collaborative mindset that allows you to interact effectively with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders.

You have a strong understanding of the construction process and are capable of writing, negotiating, and managing construction contracts with subcontractors. Your experience includes coordinating with utility providers to ensure reliable power service to critical site infrastructure. You thrive in a team environment and are committed to delivering high-quality results on large capital projects.

What you'll do

As an MEP Design Engineer at SpaceX, you will lead project teams through the entire MEP engineering process, from design to commissioning. You will develop and issue detailed drawings and design documentation, ensuring that all aspects of the projects meet the required specifications. Your role will involve writing and managing contracts with subcontractors, guiding them through the construction process until project close-out.

You will be responsible for resolving any design and construction conflicts that arise in the field, ensuring that projects stay on track and meet deadlines. Coordination with electrical utility providers will be a critical part of your responsibilities, as you work to ensure that all site infrastructure has reliable power service. You will interact with various stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and fabricators, to ensure that all project requirements are met.
