Who you are

You have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field and possess 3+ years of experience in mechanical design, particularly in high-stakes environments such as aerospace or automotive. Your expertise in CAD software, especially AutoCAD and SolidWorks, allows you to create detailed designs that meet stringent specifications. You thrive on technical challenges and have a proven track record of developing hardware that withstands extreme conditions. Your collaborative spirit enables you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring that your designs integrate seamlessly with electrical systems and other components.

You are detail-oriented and understand the importance of precision in engineering. You have experience with thermal and structural analysis, which informs your design decisions. Your ability to conduct thorough testing and post-flight analysis ensures that your designs not only meet but exceed operational requirements. You are passionate about innovation and are eager to contribute to projects that push the boundaries of technology.

Desirable

Experience with avionics or sensor systems is a plus, as is familiarity with environmental testing protocols. What you'll do

As a Mechanical Engineer at SpaceX, you will lead the design and development of flight-critical enclosures and assemblies for advanced avionics and sensor systems.
