You have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in designing and prototyping mechanical assemblies. You are comfortable tackling complex engineering challenges that involve mechanical, electrical, thermal, and antenna design constraints. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with cross-functional teams, creating innovative payload electromechanical interfaces. You possess a keen understanding of the hardware lifecycle, from defining design requirements to production process development. You are detail-oriented and have a passion for pushing the boundaries of technology, particularly in the aerospace sector.
Desirable
Experience with satellite systems or telecommunications would be a plus, as well as familiarity with high-rate production processes. Knowledge of thermal analysis and testing methodologies will enhance your ability to contribute to the Starlink Mobile program. What you'll do
As a Mechanical Engineer on the Starlink Mobile team, you will design, prototype, test, and qualify mechanical assemblies in iterative cycles to mature the Starlink Mobile system. You will collaborate closely with electrical engineers and other specialists to create innovative payload electromechanical interfaces, ensuring that all components work seamlessly together. Your responsibilities will include defining design requirements, conducting detailed design analysis, and overseeing qualification testing to ensure that all systems meet rigorous standards. You will also be involved in production process development, helping to streamline manufacturing and ensure rapid rollout of global coverage.
