Who you are
You have a strong background in automation and controls, with hands-on experience in executing industrial automation projects. You are skilled in installing and commissioning new automation assets, and you understand the importance of long-term reliability improvements in production systems. Your expertise includes working with various hardware components such as wire harnesses, PCBs, and sensors, which you have integrated into complex systems.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working alongside engineers, specialists, and technicians to achieve project goals. Your ability to interpret data collected from production systems allows you to provide operational support and drive improvements. You are detail-oriented and committed to ensuring that all automation projects meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
What you'll do
As an Automation & Controls Specialist, you will own and execute industrial automation projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and upgrade data acquisition and control systems. You will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of new automation assets, ensuring that all systems are integrated seamlessly into the production environment. Your role will also involve reviewing and interpreting data collected from these systems to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions that enhance reliability and performance.
You will work closely with engineers to design and build tooling for the Starship and Super Heavy Booster, contributing to the development of a fully reusable transportation system. Your hands-on approach will be essential in executing panel builds and updating drawings as needed. You will also play a key role in commissioning and integrating physical hardware, ensuring that all components function together effectively.
