You have a background in manufacturing engineering with a focus on machining processes — you understand how to design for manufacturing and have experience implementing full-scale production processes. You are familiar with the latest technologies and programming strategies that enable efficient production, and you are committed to maintaining high standards in manufacturing practices.
What you'll do
As a Manufacturing Engineer for Raptor machining, you will identify, develop, and implement machining processes specifically for valve, turbopump, thrust chamber, or injector hardware. You will work closely with design engineers to ensure that design for manufacturing (DFM) principles are integrated into production. Your role will involve managing change effectively and ensuring that all processes are robust and capable of meeting production goals.
You will be responsible for implementing machining process controls that allow for efficient production, including the ability to run operations with minimal intervention. Your collaboration with machinists and technicians will be crucial in solving any production problems that arise, ensuring that the manufacturing process is smooth and efficient.
