SpaceX is hiring a Network Engineer to support the campus network at Starbase, TX. You'll work with networking technologies including routing, switching, VoIP, and WiFi. This position requires experience in maintaining stable and reliable networks.

Who you are

You have experience as a network engineer, particularly in networking technologies that support routing, switching, VoIP, and WiFi. You excel at troubleshooting and resolving network-related issues, ensuring a stable and reliable network environment. Your strong communication skills enable you to document work effectively in a ticketing system and coordinate with stakeholders during network maintenance. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-tech environment and enjoy multi-tasking to prevent failures.

What you'll do

In this role, you will procure, configure, and install network hardware including switches, access points, UPS, and PDUs. You will troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. Planning and coordinating network outage windows with stakeholders will be a key responsibility, allowing you to perform software updates, hardware refreshes, and general network maintenance. You will also conduct wireless surveys to determine coverage gaps and implement effective solutions. Additionally, configuring and troubleshooting network access control (NAC) and other security features will be part of your daily tasks.
