Who you are
You have 3+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical, structural, fluid, and electrical systems — you've worked on complex projects that required a deep understanding of how these systems interact and function together. Your experience performing electronic testing has equipped you with the skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively, ensuring that all systems operate as intended. You are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment, which is crucial in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
You possess a high school diploma or equivalency certificate, and your technical expertise is complemented by strong problem-solving skills. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with production and engineering teams to support testing and qualification processes. Your ability to manage first article builds and address supply chain challenges demonstrates your proactive approach to project management.
What you'll do
In this role, you will design and build wire harnesses, PCBAs, test racks, and environmental simulation equipment that are essential for testing SpaceX's advanced hardware. You will support production, engineering, and qualification tests, including equipment bring-up and configuration, dry runs, and in situ troubleshooting. Your responsibilities will also include managing first article builds, addressing shortages and errors, and providing feedback to improve documentation and processes.
You will manage supply chain and vendor relationships for outsourced equipment builds, ensuring that all components meet SpaceX's high standards. Additionally, you will develop and manage maintenance plans for production equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency and reliability of the manufacturing process. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining a safe, clean, stocked, and orderly work area, which is vital for the success of the Factory Automation team.
