Who you are
You have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in building and testing components. You are skilled in soldering and have a good understanding of PCB design and assembly. You thrive in a fast-paced aerospace environment and are eager to contribute to innovative projects like Starlink. You are detail-oriented and capable of performing functional tests on hardware, ensuring quality and reliability in every assembly.
Desirable
Experience with automated equipment and troubleshooting is a plus. Familiarity with aerospace standards and practices will help you excel in this role. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with others to achieve common goals and improve processes.
What you'll do
As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for building small electrical sub-assemblies and performing mechanical and electrical assembly of satellite components. You will assemble PCB assemblies into product chassis and build battery cell modules, solar modules, and solar arrays. Your role will involve performing wire harnessing, soldering, and de-soldering of through-hole and SMT components. You will also support conformal coating, masking, epoxy application, and related processes. Conducting functional testing of built hardware will be a key part of your responsibilities, including setup, instrumentation, execution, and teardown. You will operate complex automated equipment, troubleshoot issues, and maintain machinery. Additionally, you will assist in developing prototype test capabilities for spacecraft components and life tests, contributing to the advancement of SpaceX's mission.
