Experience with wafer inspection tools and gas and chemical distribution systems would be a plus — you understand the importance of maintaining high standards in production environments. Familiarity with ultrapure and wastewater treatment equipment is also beneficial, as it aligns with the sustainability goals of the Starlink project.

What you'll do

As a Solar Cell Process Engineer at SpaceX, you will lead the development of production processes for solar cells used in Starlink satellites — your role will involve overseeing the entire lifecycle of setting up a greenfield solar cell production plant. You will be responsible for equipment procurement, plant design, and layout, ensuring that the production line operates smoothly and efficiently.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and refine production recipes and processes — your expertise will guide the team in achieving high efficiency and quality in solar cell production. You will also be involved in the commissioning and ramp-up of equipment, ensuring that all systems are operational and meet the required specifications.
