What you'll do
As a Mechanical Engineer in the Solar Cell Factory, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing mechanical and automation systems for solar cell manufacturing equipment. You will collaborate with other engineers to develop design criteria and drive system-level optimization, ensuring that production processes are efficient and safe. Your role will involve testing and iterating on products, performing FMEA, and conducting reliability modeling to enhance product performance.
You will take ownership of existing systems, focusing on optimization and the development of novel equipment to improve production capabilities. Your work will directly contribute to the scaling of high-efficiency solar cells that support sustainable energy solutions for SpaceX's Starlink constellations and launch vehicles.
