Who you are
You have a strong background in propulsion engineering, with experience in testing and qualifying engines for flight conditions. Your expertise includes developing and executing tests at both the engine and component levels, ensuring hardware performance and survivability during missions. You are comfortable providing direction to technicians and have a hands-on approach to engineering challenges.
You possess knowledge of data acquisition systems and instrumentation, allowing you to operate and troubleshoot complex systems effectively. Your ability to create test plans and maintain test procedures demonstrates your attention to detail and commitment to quality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy tackling diverse engineering challenges.
What you'll do
As a Propulsion Engineer at SpaceX, you will be responsible for developing and executing tests for Raptor engines and components. This includes creating test plans, activating new systems, and overseeing test operations. You will review data and design test stand equipment, ensuring that all tests are conducted efficiently and effectively.
You will lead test campaigns, providing daily direction to technicians and ensuring that all test articles are fabricated and integrated correctly. Your role will involve maintaining test procedures, sequences, and scripts, as well as operating data acquisition and control systems. You will work closely with a team of engineers to solve complex problems and contribute to the development of one of the world's most advanced engines.
