Who you are
You have a strong background in sales, particularly within the defense sector, with a focus on communications technologies. Your experience includes developing sales strategies and pricing models that align with government procurement processes. You possess a broad understanding of the Defense communications market and are adept at identifying and prioritizing opportunities for technology adoption. You are skilled in quantitative modeling and market analysis, enabling you to craft competitive proposals that resonate with government clients.
You are comfortable engaging with end users to understand their needs and explore alternative technical solutions. Your ability to dive deep into complex customer markets allows you to identify trends and insights that can drive SpaceX's sales efforts. You are also experienced in building and maintaining key partnerships within the industry, recognizing where collaboration can enhance sales outcomes.
What you'll do
In this role, you will lead and drive sales efforts within the Department of War, focusing on the adoption of Starshield communications capabilities. You will engage with senior-level stakeholders and represent SpaceX at various technical exchange meetings, program reviews, and conferences. Your responsibilities will include developing comprehensive pricing strategies and conducting market analysis to support competitive bids.
You will be responsible for the entire proposal development process, particularly the cost and pricing components, ensuring that all submissions are compelling and aligned with government requirements. Your role will also involve regular travel to customer sites as needed to foster relationships and understand client needs better.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that sales strategies are effectively executed and that customer feedback is integrated into product development.
