With experience in operating system security and incident response, you understand the complexities of securing software in ITAR-controlled environments. You are comfortable working at various levels of abstraction and can prioritize tasks effectively to maintain a secure software development lifecycle.

Desirable

Familiarity with ITAR regulations is a plus, as it will aid in securely handling ITAR-controlled technical data and payloads. Experience in vulnerability research will also be beneficial, as you will be tasked with identifying and mitigating potential security threats.

What you'll do

As a Security Software Engineer, you will contribute to the software development lifecycle for both application and hardware systems. Your responsibilities will include maintaining existing production systems and improving their security posture through direct implementation of security measures. You will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure that security is integrated into the development process from the ground up.

You will be involved in incident response and adversary detection, ensuring that any security breaches are swiftly addressed and mitigated. Your role will also require you to conduct vulnerability research, identifying potential weaknesses in systems and proposing solutions to enhance security.

In addition to technical responsibilities, you will be expected to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, sharing insights and recommendations to improve overall security practices.
