You understand the importance of creating sourcing strategies that align with departmental targets, including payment terms, cash targets, and continuity of supply. Your experience includes working with various commodities, particularly in electronics and manufacturing, which equips you to handle the unique challenges of sourcing for the Starlink project.

You are a collaborative team player who can effectively communicate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure that sourcing decisions support production goals. Your analytical skills allow you to assess supplier performance and make data-driven decisions that enhance the supply chain.

Desirable

Experience in the aerospace or technology sectors is a plus, as is familiarity with sourcing custom parts and services. You may also have a background in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships to drive cost savings and quality improvements.

What you'll do

As a Sourcing Manager for SpaceX's Starlink project, you will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for a variety of equipment and services critical to satellite production. You will work closely with engineers to understand their needs and identify suitable suppliers who can meet those requirements efficiently.

Your role will involve creating a preferred supplier network that minimizes costs and lead times while ensuring high-quality standards. You will analyze supplier performance and negotiate contracts to achieve favorable terms that align with SpaceX's goals.

You will also be tasked with solving complex sourcing challenges, which may include sourcing semi-custom and fully custom solutions. Your ability to think critically and act quickly will be essential as you navigate the fast-paced environment of SpaceX.

Collaboration is key in this role, as you will partner with various teams to ensure that sourcing decisions support production timelines and quality expectations. You will be expected to provide regular updates on sourcing initiatives and supplier performance to senior management.
