You are comfortable using supply chain management software and tools to track and optimize inventory levels.

What you'll do

As a Sourcing Manager for SpaceX's Starlink project, you will play a critical role in the supply chain team, ensuring the timely and efficient sourcing of components necessary for satellite production. You will work closely with engineering teams to understand their material needs and develop sourcing strategies that align with production schedules. Your responsibilities will include managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. You will analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. You will also coordinate with manufacturing teams to ensure that materials are delivered on time and in the right quantities, facilitating a smooth production flow. Your role will require you to monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to minimize excess stock while ensuring that production needs are met. You will be involved in cross-functional meetings to provide updates on sourcing activities and collaborate on project timelines.
