Who you are

You have over 5 years of hands-on experience with client and server hardware/software, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies. Your background includes a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or you have 7+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree. You possess strong knowledge of Linux and have a proven track record of administering and managing HPC clusters and high-speed networks.

What you'll do

As a Senior HPC Systems Engineer at SpaceX, you will administer and manage HPC clusters, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. You will provide application support to SpaceX employees across engineering disciplines, helping them leverage HPC resources effectively. Your responsibilities will include installing and integrating Linux-based compute clusters, as well as writing instructional documentation to guide users in utilizing these systems.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers to identify and resolve issues related to HPC systems, ensuring that all systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Your role will also involve troubleshooting hardware and software problems, implementing solutions, and maintaining documentation for all systems and processes.

In addition, you will be responsible for staying updated on the latest technologies and best practices in high-performance computing, contributing to the continuous improvement of SpaceX's HPC capabilities. You will play a crucial role in supporting the company's mission to enable human life on Mars by ensuring that the HPC systems are robust and reliable.
