Who you are

You have at least 1+ years of hands-on experience with client and server hardware/software, management tools, enterprise networking, virtualization, and security technologies. You possess a Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or a scientific discipline, or you have 2+ years of professional experience building software in lieu of a degree. Your experience with Linux is strong, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

You are flexible and can flourish in challenging situations, demonstrating ingenuity and self-motivation. You have a knack for conveying highly technical ideas in non-technical terms, making you an effective communicator within a diverse team.

Desirable

You have 3+ years of professional experience building, deploying, and troubleshooting Linux systems. Experience with a scripting language is a plus, as it will enhance your ability to automate tasks and improve system efficiency.

What you'll do

As an HPC Systems Engineer at SpaceX, you will administer and manage HPC clusters, storage systems, and high-speed networks. Your role will involve providing application support to SpaceX employees across various engineering disciplines, ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to excel in their work. You will install and integrate Linux-based compute clusters, contributing to the overall performance and reliability of the systems.

You will also be responsible for writing instructional documentation that helps users understand complex systems and processes. Your ability to convey technical ideas in a clear and accessible manner will be crucial in this role, as you will be working closely with engineers from different backgrounds.
