What you'll do

As the Lead Development Test Engineer for the Starshield project, you will oversee a team of technicians and engineers dedicated to testing SpaceX's newest products. Your responsibilities will include creating test stand and equipment concepts, as well as fabrication drawings and wiring schematics. You will manage the design and fabrication of test racks and harnesses, ensuring that all systems are ready for use by external teams.

You will actively participate in the development of testing protocols and procedures, ensuring that all tests are conducted efficiently and effectively. Your leadership will be crucial in forecasting and controlling inventories for all parts used in the build center, allowing your team to operate smoothly and without delays.

Collaboration is key in this role — you will work closely with other engineering teams to ensure that testing aligns with product development timelines. Your ability to communicate effectively will help bridge the gap between different teams and ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding testing requirements and outcomes.
